- Rural Health Scholars Program Scholarships
This program fosters interest among medical students in a career in rural practice and to prepare them for a leadership role in restoring health to the rural communities in which they will someday live. Any student with an interest in rural generalist practice – whether family medicine, internal medicine, pediatrics, women's health, surgery, public health or research – is strongly encouraged to apply. Students from any level of medical school training are welcome, as well as students from any of Ohio's medical schools, allopathic or osteopathic.
- Society of Teachers of Family Medicine Northeast Conference Student Scholarships
This conference is designed for family medicine physicians and medical students alike, this program provides the opportunity to hear plenary speakers address issues facing academic family medicine, and they offer a wide variety of workshops and other skill-building and informational sessions. Most importantly, it provides an opportunity for individuals with special interests to come together, share information, and plan their activities.
- AAFP FMIG Funding Initiative
The American Academy of Family Physicians (AAFP) and AAFP Foundation have partnered to re-establish the AAFP FMIG Network Funding Initiative. This fund provides crucial financial support to campus-based FMIG at U.S. allopathic medical schools to enhance student interest in family medicine.
