The next session of the Ohio Academy of Family Physicians’ (OAFP) Bite-Sized Learning program is set for Sunday, September 25, at 7 p.m. This week’s session, “Well-Being Survey Results From Over 13,000 Ohio Health Care Professionals,” will provide an overview of the results of a 2021 COVID-19 pandemic well-being survey conducted by the Ohio Physicians Health Program (OhioPHP).
Members can join the conversation by logging on to the OAFP’s Facebook page, YouTube channel, or Twitter page to watch live.
In August 2021, OhioPHP, in collaboration with 13 of Ohio’s Professional Licensing Boards, deployed a comprehensive survey to all of Ohio’s health care professionals about the impact COVID-19 has had on their mental health and well-being. Over 13,000 professionals responded to the survey.
Guest speaker Sarah Damiani, communications and outreach director at OhioPHP, will join the session with moderator Mike Sevilla, MD, FAAFP, to discuss the reasons for conducting the survey, what the results showed including those of physician respondents, and what next steps look like.
Visit the OhioPHP website to review the survey’s Executive Summary.
The learning sessions will be recorded and available on the OAFP’s Facebook page, YouTube channel, and the OAFP website for future viewing.
If you have suggestions for future learning sessions or have a story to tell yourself, please contact Kaitlin McGuffie.
