Malnutrition negatively affects both children and adults worldwide. We’ve launched the Abbott Center for Malnutrition Solutions, a collaboration between Abbott and external nutrition experts and partners, to help identify, treat, and prevent malnutrition.
In support of Malnutrition Awareness WeekTM (September 19-23), we recognize that malnutrition does not discriminate, comes in all sizes (underweight and overweight) and can be impacted by food insecurity. The Food Research and Action Center (FRAC) with the American Academy of Pediatrics have developed a toolkit to help physicians and other healthcare professionals screen, intervene, and address food insecurity in children. FRAC has also partnered with the American Association of Retired Persons to develop an online continuing medical education course on addressing food insecurity among older adults.
Check out these additional malnutrition resources including educational webinars and articles from the Abbott Nutrition Health Institute (ANHI).
The ANHI is a proud Ohio Academy of Family Physicians Partner in Health.
